Description

Learn about our marine ecosystems and how to care for them during the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society's free Earth Day Celebration.

Event Details

In honor of Earth Day, the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society invites visitors of all ages to celebrate the living planet we call home! This year’s Earth Day theme is “End Plastic Pollution” and the riverside attraction will host the South Broward High School Coral Club who will demonstrate how we can stop water pollutants and help heal the aging coral on our reefs. Nova Southeastern University Halmos College Peer Educators will also be on-hand to answer questions about the marine ecosystem that surrounds us and Colorful Warrior Writers will offer a breezy literary respite from an otherwise warm and bustling day of activities on the New River.

Free event (in front of The Historic New River Inn). For those wishing to extend their stay and visit the museum, general admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admission is free for members, military and children ages six and under.
