Miami's Moon River Cabaret returns to Gatsby's Joint with a Double Feature of the 1920's inspired version of their Award-Winning Burlesque Dinner Party at Gatsby's Joint in North Fort Lauderdale. Following their SOLD OUT August premiere performance and SOLD OUT September show, as well as both SOLD OUT October shows the venue and producers have chosen to create two performances for the evening, the Early Bird show at 8:00 p.m. and the Night Owl performance at 11:00 p.m.
Burlesque Dinner Party will feature: The British Invasion, Miss Aurora Natrix, The Feathery Fox, Miss Jenna Beth, Miami’s very own Prima Latina, Sofia Luna, and hosted by the bad boy of burlesque, Master of Ceremonies, Rio Dios Mio.
The show seamlessly weaves comedy, classic burlesque, and cabaret, alongside music from the 1920's into the warmth of an engaging evening dinner out. Whether you want to enjoy the perfect first date or have a change-of-pace kind of night, Burlesque Dinner Party is the kind of experience sure to have something for everyone.
Gatsby's Joint is a restaurant/bar, revamped and currently under new management, that establishes the bygone era with its' vintage decor and modern delights. The owners have created a laid-back atmosphere for all to enjoy a new and recognizably delicious menu, imbibe well-made cocktails, be entertained with live performance, and admire it's vibrant collection of classic art. The best part, aside from prohibition having been repealed for quite some time now, is their stellar list of craft cocktails, with names like The Flapper, Lucky Luciano's Old Fashioned, and The Mobster Manhattan.
Moon River Cabaret earned The Miami New Times' top spot on their list of The Five Best Burlesque Nights in South Florida. The company's monthly Mad Men-themed performance at Vagabond Kitchen was also voted Best Burlesque show in The New Times' “Best of Miami” 2017.
While the pickings for live burlesque shows in South Florida remain slim, Miami's Moon River Cabaret remains dedicated to keeping this American art-form local, alive, and kicking all over the place.
