The Christmas Chocolate Nutcracker, a spin on Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet, features a score that mixes classical music and jazz. Staying true to the original in its delightful story of a little girl who receives a doll as a holiday gift which magically comes to life and takes her on an amazing adventure. Instead of the land of the Sugar Plum Fairies, this production takes audiences on a trip to Africa!
The story is told through a variety of dance and music styles including Gospel, Jazz, African Drumming, and Rhythm & Blues and ends with The Junkanoo & African Dancers.
