You're probably thinking the same thing we are. Where did the year? It probably feels like you just grew accustomed to writing 2017 on all of your documents, and here 2018 is creeping up around the corner. Once you get over the fact that you have to say farewell to 2017, it'll be time for you to start making your plans for the new year. Like every year, there will be plenty to do. Parties at clubs. Parties at bars. Parties on a block. But if you're in the mood for something a bit more low key, classy, and some good eats, we've got just the thing. Presenting your best fine dining restaurants to celebrate New Year's Eve in Ft. Lauderdale!

As one of Ft. Lauderdale's favored seafood eateries, Burlock Coast is an easy fine dining choice on any night of the year. But they're even outdoing themselves on the last night of the year. Chef Paula DaSilva ensures that your year ends with a bang and a party in your mouth. It's a culinary journey like no other with two seatings. The first seating begins promptly at 5:30 p.m., and includes a three-course dinner menu and a full champagne menu. But the second menu is for the party people. Beginning at promptly at 9:30 p.m., the second seating includes a five-course menu, an open bar offering champagne, beer, wine and four festive cocktails. And with your stomach full and buzz hitting as the new year approaches, you'll countdown to midnight as the restaurant drops their balloons. What a way to open 2018!

Is there anything Shooter's can't do? They're a waterfront restaurant that's a prime dinner location and one of the best brunch spots in the city. If that wasn't enough, they host a bangin' New Years dinner and party, too. Offering a three-course menu your taste buds will be getting their party started without a hitch at 6 p.m. In addition to that, their Prix Fixe menu includes live entertainment in the form of fire dancers, a champagne toast and midnight party favors. Oh, and of course, the stunning waterfront view providing the perfect vantage point for taking in the fireworks.

Tavolino Della Notte serves up old world food with new world flair. But on December 31, you could say its with a New Years flair. The party and dinner kick off at 6 p.m. and runs through 2 a.m. In that time, you'll wine, dine, laugh and dance with a menu prepared by Chef Bruno. D.J. Johny Mac will provide most of the tunes, but Betty Padgett and Krush Band provide a live performance. Of course, there will be a midnight toast and party favors as well. And there's no better way to complete your fine dining options for 2018.

While Seasons 52 isn't throwing a New Year's specific, their typical American fare is delicious enough to ring in the new year. From fresh flatbreads to their selection of wines and cocktails and diverse seafood menu, you'll bring in 2018 with some of the best food you'll ever eat the entire year.

A charming waterfront restaurant, Serafina has the views and food you and your boo are looking for on New Year's Eve. This location is the height of romance and culinary excellence. If you're looking for a bite and a good place to have a New Years toast, this is a good place to be.

Another waterfront restaurant, Pelican Landing is a slick, sleek marina with a healthy assortment of sandwiches, snacks, and salads. While Pelican Landing isn't exactly fine dining, it certainly has an air of romance perfect for breaking into the new year.

Blue Moon Fish Co. has been a Ft. Lauderdale culinary staple for decades. One of the reasons why is because of its ideal placement on the Intracoastal. That placement makes it fairly ideal for celebrations. Particularly celebrations with fireworks. And as usual, you can expect the same quality cuisine you've come to expect from this local hot spot.

This Las Olas hot spot has exploded in popularity in the past few years. And one of the reasons why is their annual New Year's Eve menu. While they change it up every year, the one constant is the delicious bites and consistent fun. There are few better places to be in Las Olas than here as you ring in the new year.

Chimney House is one of Ft. Lauderdale's most romantic spots no matter the time of the year. While not located on the marina, you do get a pretty good view of it (and the fireworks) if you can snag an outdoor porch area. And just a short walk away from Himmarshe's Annual New Year's block party, you can go from romance to turn up as soon as the clock strikes 12:01 am.

Ringing in the new year is always a special time. And it's made even more special when its spent with the one you love. If you want the perfect place to share your midnight kiss, you may want to consider your fine dining options for New Years Eve 2018.
