NAMI Broward County to host 3rd Annual “Artful Minds” event on Saturday, June 1st from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at MAD Arts.
Artful Minds is dedicated to igniting conversations surrounding mental health and wellness, and inspiring hope through art.
Every piece of art displayed at the event is curated by an artist living with mental health condition/diagnosis or who address the theme of mental health through their art.
Attendees will leave the event with a better understanding the artists’ journey of mental health and wellbeing through the curators’ eyes and their path to recovery.
There will also be an impactful performance by Emmy Nominated Artist and Songwriter Alexander Star.
A wide variety of art mediums will be displayed and offered for sale and bidding.
Funds raised from the event will help NAMI Broward County reach their goal of helping hundreds of thousands of people in Broward County with mental health conditions and their families/caregivers by providing support services they need at no cost.
NAMI Broward County has implemented many key programs and initiatives that have significantly contributed to mental health awareness and support. In 2023, they have reached over 6,000 people through key Signature programs like NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group, NAMI Family Support Groups, NAMI Ending the Silence and Mentor-to-Mentee program.
