Plunge Into The Arts with the Pen Women of Fort Lauderdale

The “Inspiring Women” Pen Women Exhibit showcases the artistic accomplishments of women leaders in our local Fort Lauderdale community who are the legacy of 124 years of national efforts by the National League of American Pen Women, the oldest women’s art organization in America, to recognize professional women in the arts and their flourishing creativity. Through a variety of media the subjects and causes that inspire them are displayed to inspire others, in particular women. Subjects and causes include: conservation, environment, fashion, world issues, introspection and nature.

Artists represented: Marlene Hammel, Christine Landis, Valerie Mafdali, Phoenix Lynn Marks, Lois R. Perdue, Pauline Runkle, Donna Sallee, Tammy Seymour & Harriet Silverstein.
About the National League of American Pen Women - Fort Lauderdale Branch: For more than 65 years the Fort Lauderdale Branch of the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW) has been a prestigious organization of professional women in the Arts –Published Writers, Authors, Poets, Musical Composers and Award-Winning Visual Artists.

Today primarily a community of professional, contemporary visual artists, Pen Women believe in the power of art to illuminate the human experience, fire the imagination and nurture the soul. To that end, by exhibiting with The Plunge Beach Resort, Pen Women can further showcase the talents of our members while inspiring and educating the community with the power and creativity of accomplished local women artists.
