The famed Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Poker Open has now officially kicked off at the legendary South Florida hotel and casino with thousands of poker players now competing for a spot in the $10 Million Guarantee Championship beginning on Wednesday, August 22.

The 33-event series kicked off on August 8 with a No Limit Hold ‘em Deep Stack featuring a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.  31-year-old Derek Buonano of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida won the event on late Sunday to earn $90,000.

Now, a series of continuous poker events with great prizes like those listed above will continue until the main event beginning on Thursday, August 22 and lasting through the 28th.

Event #6 is now currently under way with big names in poker including Alex Bolotin, Tony Ruberto, Stu Paterson, Doug Lee and  Poker Open regulars Nanacy Birnbaum, Chris Karambinis, Cord Garcia, Jeremy Jennings, and Sergio Corominas all playing in the event.

The main event, Event #21 will begin later this month with a whopping $10 million guaranteed payout and $5,300 buy-in.

The $10 million prize pool will also be awarded to a number of winners at satellite events taking place at various Seminole Casinos throughout the state including Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Casino Brighton and Seminole Casino Immokalee.
