The Phinsider: The SB Nation Miami Dolphins Blog has new update
12 hours ago Miami Dolphins 2024 undrafted free agent tracker and live updates: Who will join team as NFL Draft ends
Photo by Michael Owens/Getty Images We keep up with all the undrafted free agent madness for the Miami Dolphins as the 2024 NFL Draft comes to a close. The 2024 NFL Draft has come to a close, with 257 college prospects hearing their names called - or at least receiving a phone call from a team if the TV broadcast was in a commercial or playing with puppies during the pick. The league is now full of rookies who will be looking to prove they were worth the draft capital used to select them. Except, they will not be the only rookies on team rosters. The league is now in a free agency frenzy period. The undrafted free agent market opened as the draft closed. Any college player who was eligible for the draft, but was not selected by a team, is now free to sign with any club. Teams are making calls and trying to lock down players they like but did not draft. The Miami Dolphins will likely be busy trying to sign UDFAs over the next several hours and days. We will keep up with all the latest news and rumors right here. First, however, we need to put out our annual disclaimer. Nothing is official with UDFAs until the team announces the signing. Every year it seems as though there are reports of a signing, only to have another team swoop in with a better deal and sign the prospect. It has gone so far as a player boarding a plane for one destination, but signing with a different team during the trip. While we will probably know most of the UDFA signings, just remember everything can change in an instant when it comes to these moves.. Dolphins 2024 draft picks 21st: Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State55th: Patrick Paul, T, Houston120: Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee158: Mohamed Kamara, Edge, Colorado State184: Malik Washington, WR, Virginia198: Patrick McMorris, S, Cal241: Tahj Washington, WR, USC Check out DraftKings Sportsbook, the official sportsbook partner of SB Nation. Dolphins 2024 undrafted free agent signings and rumors All of these signings are “reported” and subject to change, as discussed above. The Dolphins will announce them once the contracts are officially signed and executed. Mark Perry, S, TCU - per Barry Jackson Several teams were interested in Perry after the draft, with the Dolphins winning a bidding war by offering him a $15,000 signing bonus and $150,000 guaranteed, according to Aaron Wilson. Grayson Murphy, Edge, UCLA - per Barry Jackson Je’Quan Burton, WR, Florida Atlantic - per Aaron Wilson Gavin Hardison, QB, UTEP - per Tom Pelissero Rayshad Williams, CB, Texas Tech - per Barry Jackson Williams is joining the Raiders, not the Dolphins. According to Barry Jackson, there was a mistake with the team contact who used to work for the Dolphins and now works for the Raiders, with the agent not realizing the change. Storm Duck, CB, Louisville - per Tom Pelissero Dolphins clearly wanted to sign Duck. They gave him a $20,000 signing bonus and $150,000 guaranteed with multiple members of the front office calling him to recruit him to South Florida, according to Barry Jackson. Isaiah Johnson, CB, Syracuse - per Barry Jackson Matthew Jones, G/C, Ohio State - per Barry Jackson Leonard Payne, Jr., DT, Colorado - per University of Colorado Football

15 hours ago NFL Draft 2024: Miami Dolphins seventh-round pick Tahj Washington provides WR depth
Photo by Chris Leduc/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images The Miami Dolphins have made their final pick of the 2024 NFL Draft with the 241st overall selection. The Miami Dolphins have made their seventh-and-final pick of the 2024 NFL Draft - unless they suddenly trade back into the seventh round - with the 241st-overall selection. The pick provides Miami with depth at wide receiver as the team selected Tahj Washington from USC. Washington is a small, slot receiver who competes hard and makes things happen. He only caught 59 passes in 2023, but he gained 1,062 yards on those receptions. He has a five-year college career average of 15.4 yards per reception. He is not going to be a high-volume receiver, but he could be a big play option for the Dolphins when teamed up with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. He has also worked as a kick returner and could find himself used in that role as Miami decides how to man the position under new kickoff rules this season. The Dolphins’ 2024 draft started with the 21st overall pick, with the team selecting edge rusher Chop Robinson out of Penn State. The team then added tackle Patrick Paul, running back Jaylen Wright, edge rusher Mohamed Kamara, and wide receiver Malik Washington through the sixth round. Now they add Miami made one trade during the draft, using a third-round pick from 2025 to add a fourth-round pick, the 120th-overall selection they used on Wright.
