Holiday Fantasy of Lights 

For a larger-than-life holiday light display in Fort. Lauderdale, head to Tradewinds Park. Transformed into a fantasy world for the holiday season, it's always a treat! This year's edition of the Holiday Fantasy of Lights boasts 3 miles of animated and static holiday light displays and illuminated trees. This Christmas light extravaganza runs from November 23, 2023 - January 1, 2024. The cost is $17 per car, or upgrades to a 3D experience, three pairs for $3!

Symphony of Lights 

Symphony of Lights returns to light up the holidays every night at Gulfstream Park from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. through December 16, 2023. This family-friendly event in Ft. Lauderdale features thousands of lights, a decorated 50-foot tree, holiday music, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, juggling acts, stilt walkers, face painting, train rides, and a DJ. A spectacular light show, set to the music of the trans-Siberian orchestra, shines in Champions plaza. Victorian Christmas at the Historic Stranahan House Museum 

Experience a Victorian Christmas at the Historic Stranahan House Museum. The tour includes costumed docents, live music, decoration, and opportunities for photos. The tour is followed by a ride down the New River to see the holiday lights on impressive Fort Lauderdale homes. Winterfest

The Winterfest boat parade will be on December 17th at 9:00 pm and will stage on the New River in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale on the docks west of the Stranahan house. The parade will travel east to the Intracoastal Waterway as it moves north to Lake Santa Barbra. Each boat will be a floating float with lights and Christmas decorations, music, and entertainment. Boat entries are now being accepted, and the cost to enter a private boat is only $35. Plan on spending about two and a half hours watching the 12-mile parade. Enjoy South Florida’s kick-off to the holiday season, and keep your eyes peeled for celebrities.

Sample-McDougald Christmas

The historic Sample-McDougald House is the house of Christmas this season. From December 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024 each Saturday morning will find Mrs. Claus paying a visit to read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the children and provide them with activities and gifts. This event is free, so be sure to visit Mrs. Claus this holiday season. For a month house will be hosting daily tours of the fully decorated house. Each room recreates a different aspect of a family holiday at home. Hot apple cider and sugar cookies will be available on the porch. Tours are Tuesday–Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm on the hour, with the last tour at 3 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 5–12.
