Art lovers, don’t have to pay museum fees to see great paintings as a family. Simply stop by for a free tour of the huge, stunning murals in Downtown Hollywood. Nine blocks between US 1 and Dixie Highway, Tyler and Van Buren Streets have become a vivid, eye-popping canvas for 25 works by local artists that the Hollywood redevelopment agency commissioned. Artists have been asked not to use nudity or profanity in their work, so you can safely stroll around with your family and not have to answer awkward questions.

Love the water and urban sights? The Riverwalk Water Trolley rovides the perfect way for your family to tour Fort Lauderdale. Climb board and enjoy gorgeous views the area's lush nature and sleek city life that embodies this part of Florida. The trolley makes eight stops, many within walking distance of shops, museums, and restaurants. Island Water Sports

For more than 30 years, Island Water Sports on Deerfield Beach has provided free surf, stand-up paddle, and skim lessons from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. All experience and age levels are welcome with or without equipment. Certified instructors will teach future water enthusiasts these fun water sports, but make sure your family registers online or at the store because once the maximum number of students met, that session will close for registration, and you'll have to sign up for the paid lessons that start after 9:30 a.m.
