If you're going to be in Fort Lauderdale this Halloween season but don't quite know what to do yet, there's still plenty of time to plan your Halloween weekend. Whether you plan on dressing up or dressing down, here is a full guide to the best Halloween events in Fort Lauderdale for both families and adults only.
Celebrate Halloween earlier this year by joining in on the 3rd Annual World's Largest Ghost Hunt this Halloween season! This event will take place on September 29 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $49.95 per person and include a wine bar and appetizers at the beginning of the hunt. Guests will review documentary footage from real paranormal investigations before their tour guided by the Paranormal Coast Team, a group of highly experienced paranormal investigators. The tour will include explorations of historic properties and the permanent guests who reside there.
If you're looking for something a scarier and maybe not as family-friendly, check out the Haunted Mansion Halloween Party. This event will be held at a mansion in a secret location from 9 p.m. on October 20 until 3 a.m. on the next day. Tickets are still available and cost $50 for women and $100 for men. Tickets not only include private entry into a secret mansion but also catering and a full open bar. There will also be private transportation to the undisclosed location in Fort Lauderdale and live music.
Come out on October 27 and watch Fort Lauderdale come to life with princesses, ghosts, vampires, and much more during Trick-or-Treat on 2nd Street. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Esplanade Park, the whole family can enjoy trick-or-treating, bounce houses, carnival games, and even a pet costume contest. The best part is that this event is completely free!
If trick-or-treating doesn't quite cut it, but you still want to actively participate in Halloween, check out the one-woman play Halloween is Murder on October 31 at 7 p.m. at Empire Stage. Members of the audience will read along various roles whether it be the victim, the murderer, or the informant, among others, with featured actress Barbara Fox who will narrate the play. Costumes are optional, but if you wear a costume, you'll receive an extra clue! Tickets are $30 per person. This particular night at the theater, you can look forward to Halloween quizzes, jokes, and a murder... or two!
Rates for all of the ticketed Halloween events in Fort Lauderdale will increase in October, so purchase your tickets as soon as possible!
